Turkish Airlines Reports Growth in Passenger Numbers

(MENAFN) Türkiye's flagship carrier Turkish Airlines announced Monday that it transported 60.7 million passengers during the first eight months of the year, achieving an 82.7% load factor.

The airline stated in a declaration posted on Türkiye’s Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that the total passenger count increased 5.8% year-on-year over this period.

International-to-international passenger traffic grew 10.3%, reaching 23.1 million between January and August.

The load factor rose by 0.6 percentage points compared with the same timeframe in 2024.
Specifically, the international passenger load factor was 82.3%, while the domestic passenger load factor reached 86.7%.

The company’s available seat kilometers increased 6.4% to 179.2 billion in the eight-month period, up from 168.5 billion in the corresponding period of 2024.

Cargo and mail volume expanded 5.4% to 1.4 million tons during the same period of 2025, compared to 1.3 million tons in January-August 2024.

By the end of August, the airline's fleet had grown to 501 aircraft.

In August alone, Turkish Airlines’ total passenger traffic surged 11.9% year-on-year, reaching 9.4 million.

Moreover, international-to-international transfer passengers in August jumped 17.3% compared to the same month the previous year, hitting 3.49 million, while the passenger load factor increased by 0.9 percentage points to 86.7%.
